FIFTY

November 19, 2021 @ 7:30 pm

Pre-sales have now ended and regular seating is now sold out.

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door — these are at a reduced price of $25 (taxes included) and are only valid for the rows of folding chairs at the back of the church.

Doors open at 6:45pm.

We delight in welcoming Jon Washburn, the Founder and Conductor Emeritus of the choir to share the podium with Artistic Director Kari Turunen for our 50th anniversary concert, FIFTY. The evening will not only pay tribute to 50 incredible years of choral performance, but nearly 400 works commissioned and premiered by the Vancouver Chamber Choir. Listeners can look forward to a new commission by Vancouver composer Katerina Gimon as well as the Canadian premiere of a rarely-performed work by the late R. Murray Schafer. We are thrilled to be sharing our 50th anniversary with our audience this November — nearly 50 years to the day since our first official ticketed concert in November 1971!
