We are riding a wave of joy as we begin the season with songs of the sea. The music embodies all the experiences of being on the water: the turbulent storms, the blissful calms, the ebb and flow of life. The sounds of the sea combined with the glistening and undulating textures of the organ, performed by guest artist and composer Stephen Smith, trigger a sense of togetherness as we reach the calm after the storm. This program features classic works by Byrd, Schütz and J.S. Bach as well as exciting contemporary choral music, including a work by our composer-in-residence for the season, Matthew Whittall. Come experience the waves of sounds and textures washing over you at SEA PSALM.
