Bláthnaid Conroy Murphy is an Irish choral director, singer, pianist, performer, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist based in Dublin. She studied piano with Darina Gibson and Pádhraic Ó Cuinneagáin, and currently studies singing with Imelda Drumm. Bláthnaid graduated from NUI Maynooth with a Bachelor of Music in 2009. She sang with Anúna from 2007 – 2016, performing around the world and featuring on many of their albums. In 2010, she left for Australia joining the cast of The Wiggles, where she danced, sang and played her way across the continent and the world. Bláthnaid is featured as a recorded artist and as a composer/arranger on many of Wiggles’ songs.
Bláthnaid took over directorship of the Holy Child Killiney Alumnae & Friends Choir in 2019. She completed the Sing Ireland Choral Conducting Summer School in 2022 under Dr. Kari Turunen, has taken a master class with Ragnar Rasmussen and has studied with Dr. Bernie Sherlock. She has guest-conducted the Mornington Singers and the Enchiriadis Choir. Bláthnaid believes that through collective music making, we become more than the sum of our parts and she hopes she can inspire singers and audience members by being her authentic self.
