Dinah Ayre grew up in a musical family on Vancouver Island, and has had a love for choral singing from a remarkably young age. She is currently completing her Artist Diploma at the Vancouver Academy of Music, where she studies with soprano Robyn Driedger-Klassen and performs in the imaginative productions presented by the Academy’s Vocal Theatre Program. Recently she has sung the role of Marianne in La chatte métamorphosée en femme (Offenbach), and in a unique staged production of Benjamin Britten’s Canticle II: Abraham and Isaac. Dinah also has a growing interest in composition, and participated as a composer in the 2016 Sonic Boom Festival for new music.
Dinah has been a member of the Pacifica Singers since she moved to Vancouver 6 years ago. Now she is delighted to be joining the Vancouver Chamber Choir for her first season!
