Born in Los Angeles, California, Jaime moved to Vancouver at a young age. He found a love for choral singing in his high school choir program and was inspired to seek additional choral experiences. He joined the Vancouver Youth Choir the following year where he has had many formative experiences as a singer. Two highlights include performing with Grammy Award-winning guest conductor Charles Bruffy, as well as performing at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference in 2019. His first time singing alongside the Vancouver Chamber Choir was during a joint performance with the Vancouver Youth Choir.
An up-and-coming young bass in the Vancouver choral scene, Jaime sings as the section leader of the Vancouver Bach Choir as well as St. John’s Shaughnessy Anglican Church. Jaime was also a member of the University Singers at the University of British Columbia where he is currently pursuing a Dual Degree in Music and Education, with an aspiration to become a choral director.
