Kilian Benson

Kilian Benson, tenor

Kilian Benson lives, works, and makes music on Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) land, presently known as North Vancouver. Growing up in California, he found a love for choral singing through years of singing in the Louis A. Botto (LAB) Choir, Chanticleer’s student small ensemble, and later as a principal singer with North Vancouver’s Laudate Singers. Kilian earned a diploma of classical voice from Capilano University and a BFA in music and sound from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, Kilian works as an audio-visual technician and as an electroacoustic composer. He is thrilled to join the Vancouver Chamber Choir.
