Rob Workman

Rob Workman, tenor

Rob is a versatile musician who is thrilled to join the Vancouver Chamber Choir. Due to an extensive musical background, Rob has developed into a well-rounded artist who strives for excellence in every venture.

Rob’s passion for choral music began at Trinity Western University, where he attained his Bachelor of Arts in Music. Delving head-first into the remarkable experiences that choral artistry presents, Rob worked hard to develop his voice into a versatile instrument that can thrive in any setting. His work paid off, resulting in the opportunity to sing with the National Youth Choir of Canada (2016), which inspired him to pursue a career in the choral arts.

After a two-year stint in Manitoba, Rob recently returned to BC with his M.Mus. in Choral Conducting from the University of Manitoba, where his instruction under Dr. Elroy Friesen challenged and rewarded Rob’s vocal and conducting skills.

Rob has sung professionally with many ensembles including Polycoro, Belle Voci, and the Schooner Cove Singers. Currently, Rob is also the tenor section lead for the Vancouver Bach Choir and the associate conductor of Ensemble 2021, a new choir in the Fraser Valley that focuses on 20th– and 21st-century compositions.
